CANADIAN RELIGIOUS BROADCASTERS ASSOCIATION, a corporation consisting of doctrinally evangelical individuals concerned for the spread of the Gospel of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, have banded together for the sake of strength and fellowship, which comes from numbers united in a common cause. Thus united, the National Religious Broadcasters feel they can contribute to the improvement of religious broadcasting, better serve the interests of Christian people, and more effectively minister to the spiritual welfare of this nation.

Canadian Religious Broadcasters Association invites application for membership from all who use radio and television and other forms of the electronic mass media for the dissemination of the Gospel, and who subscribe to the Broadcasters' Statement of Faith and Code of Ethics.

Canadian Religious Broadcasters Association is striving conscientiously to represent the broadcasting interests of evangelical Christians. Its work is to preserve and protect the rights of accredited religious broadcasters and to keep the channels of communication open to evangelical Christianity.

The objectives of Canadian Religious Broadcasters Association shall be:

(1) To foster and encourage fellowship in our common faith in Christ through the electronic media and especially among our members.

(2) To foster and encourage excellence in Christian broadcasting by establishing and maintaining high standards with respect to content, method of presentation, speakers’ qualifications and ethical practices, to the end that such broadcasts may be constantly developed and improved and that their public interest and usefulness may be enhanced. In this Constitution, “broadcasting” shall broadly include any form of signal transmission of audio or video content through telecommunications, and shall include the use of electronic or digital media technology.

(3) To preserve and protect the rights of Christian broadcasters by:

(a) securing for its members, and for other persons and organizations engaged in broadcasting such programs, adequate, fair and regular access to the radio and television listening and viewing public through the use of existing and future media opportunities;

(b) protecting its members and such other persons and organizations from being barred from access and from being unjustly and unreasonably subjected to injury, obstacle, restriction or discrimination in obtaining and maintaining access; and

(c) promoting in every lawful and proper manner, governmental laws, regulations, and business customs and practices that further such objectives, and in the same manner opposing those that hinder the accomplishment of these objectives.

Statement of Faith

1.  We believe the Bible to be inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God.

2.  We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three Persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

3.  We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in      His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension
     to the right hand of the Father and in His personal return in power and glory.

4.  We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful man, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential, and is administered solely by the grace of God through our faith in Jesus Christ.

5.  We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a Godly life.

6.  We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.

7.  We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.
