Why join CRBA?

The most compelling reason to join any group or association is to maximize your own organization and its influence on the industry. The opportunities to interact and network with others who share the same interests and concerns are invaluable and will contribute to your organization’s growth. The establishment of close relationships and visibility offers financial benefit, as most of us would willingly admit that we are most likely to do business with those we know well.

CRBA is driven by a three-fold vision to Proclaim the Good News of eternal life through Jesus Christ, Transform culture through the application of sound biblical teaching, and Preserve religious freedom by keeping the doors of electronic media open for the spread of the Gospel. It cannot be minimized that there is strength in numbers, and that it is much more difficult to defend principles and beliefs individually: “And if no one can overpower him who is alone, two can resist him. A cord of three strands in not quickly torn apart” [Eccl. 4:12 NAS]. Join us as we work together to promote and preserve access for the dissemination of Christian media.

How does joining CRBA benefit my organization?

CRBA represents the rights and interests of Christian communicators by cultivating and maintaining vital relationships with elected and appointed officials in Ottawa, Ontario CRBA’s government relations staff works to preserve religious freedom by keeping the doors of electronic media open for the spread of the Gospel. All employees within a member organization benefit from the full scope of benefits, including discounted registration to attend the annual CRBA National Convention & Exposition, invitations to summer members-only events and the opportunity to participate on committees that set CRBA’s direction, as well as the education and training modules. Members are encouraged to submit nominations for the annual Media Awards, recognizing excellence in Christian communication through peer review. All members receive Inside CRBA, the weekly e-newletter, keeping them up-to-date on current events. Members can submit free classified advertising on the CRBA website, and receive other business benefits.

How do I apply?

To obtain an application on-line, click here to become member. You can also request to receive an application by email or via regular mail. The online version must be printed before you fill it out and send it back to us, because an original signature is required. Membership to CRBA is not automatic. Once the application is submitted, it is reviewed for completeness and then is forwarded to the Membership Committee and then on to the Executive Committee for a decision. This process typically takes at least four to six weeks.

What is a Conditional Acceptance?

The policy provides Associate applicants a conditional acceptance upon CRBA’s receipt of their application and prorated dues. The application is still subject to the review and approval of the Membership and Executive Committees, but the conditional acceptance enables the applicants to qualify immediately for member rates on convention exhibit space or sponsorships. Upon receipt of the application, CRBA

will notify the applicant via email of the conditional approval and to provide the prorated dues amount to be charged via credit card.
